Beth L Petersen

Beth Lyman Petersen died at her Powell home on Aug. 23, 2011. She was 93.
Beth was born Feb. 21, 1918 in Teasdale, Utah to Haskin and Ruth (Peterson) Lyman.
On Dec. 17, 1937, Beth married Vernon John Petersen. She lived in Utah, Colorado, Nevada and California before settling in Powell.
Beth was known for her beautiful handmade quilts, afghans and rugs. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, V. John Petersen.
She is survived by her children, Mike and Sylvia Fishe, Judy Petersen Hardy, Wade and Billy Welch, Neal Petersen, and Ken and Karen Lynn Richmond; 20 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 527 W. Seventh Street in Powell. A viewing will take place at 2 p.m.
Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
