Carl J. Miller passed away April 10, 2010 at the Powell Hospital. He was born July 4, 1923 in Linneus, Missouri to Carl Benjamin and Blanche (Brocaille) Miller. He was the 4 child of 11 children growing in Genoa, Colorado during the depression. Carl enlisted in the Navy serving in the Pacific Theatre. After WWII Carl travel to Wyoming to visit his older brother Tom and wife in Cody. He met Ileana Mae Baston and married May 25, 1946 in Billings, Montana. They lived in Cody before Marathon Oil transferred him to the Powell Office. Carl retired after 40 years from Marathon Oil, Pipeline Division. An avid outdoorsman he loved fishing, hunting, camping with his family and watching the grandchildren play sports around the state. He guided for many years, then, after retiring Carl and Ileana became snowbirds traveling around Arizona and Nevada with their fifth-wheel trailer. They were members of the Polecat Ramblers and the Shoshone Rock Club.

Carl is survived by three daughters Janet (Tom) Rottman of Laramie, Julie (John) Skaggs of Powell, and Jerri Iverson of Laramie, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Jennifer (Tim) Koslowsky and Kaleb, Joshua, and David of Casper, Jamie Sumers and Alex, Cheyenne, and Cody of Laramie, Janelle (Brett) Rauterkus and Avery of Spearfish, SD. , Heather Iverson of Sydney Nebraska, Sgt. Dustin Iverson of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Daniel Iverson of Laramie, and Kimberly (Zachary)Bohannon and Jacob of Fort Polk, Louisiana. He is also survived by 4 sisters and 2 brothers.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ileana, their son Jim, Carl's two sisters and two brothers and parents.
