David "Dave" Barth

PEKIN – David “Dave” Barth, 64, of Pekin, passed away at 4:40 p.m. Monday,
April 17, 2023, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

Born June 20, 1958 in Cleveland, Ohio to Donald and Donna (Hite) Barth, he
married Veronica Sabala on June 20, 1980.

Surviving is his wife of 42 years; his parents Donald and Donna Barth of Pekin;
two sons, Ryan (Jennifer) Barth of East Peoria and Daniel Barth of Manito; three
grandchildren, Amelia and Lucy Barth of East Peoria, and Liam Barth of Manito;
three brothers, Chuck (Joni) Barth of Pekin, Gary (Stephanie) Barth of Arkansas,
and Randy Barth of Illinois; one sister, Cindy (Lorenzo) Boccuzzi of Montana and
several nieces and nephews.

Dave owned and operated Pekin Gun and Sporting Goods for over 30 years.
He enjoyed shooting, hunting, and traveling. Dave enjoyed his time spent with
friends and family at his cabin in Clark, Wyoming. He thoroughly enjoyed
spending quality time with his grandchildren.

Dave was a former member of St. John’s (Sand Prairie) Lutheran Church in rural
Green Valley.

His private funeral will be at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in
Pekin. Pastor Randy Justus will officiate. Private graveside services will be at
Bennett Butte Cemetery in Clark, Wyoming.
