Feliciano DeLeon

Feliciano “Felix” “Chano” DeLeon, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010. He was 75.
He was born Sept. 5, 1934 in Lyford, Texas, to Reyes and Antonia (Trevino) DeLeon. On Aug. 10, 1954 he married Eustolia Carrizales in Billings, Mont. The couple made their home in Lovell until 1962 when they moved to Madera, Calif., where they lived for the next 11 years. In 1973 they moved to Powell, and lived there ever since.
While sitting on the porch, Feliciano waved at each and every person who passed by. When he wasn’t on the porch, he enjoyed gardening, being a mechanic, taking care of his grandkids, and watching Spanish soap operas with his wife, Eustolia.
Feliciano was greatly admired for his hard work. He was a wonderful mechanic, and worked as a Leadman for Georgia Pacific in Lovell for 27 years until his retirement. He also always maintained a gorgeous yard and garden. He was a very giving man, and he gave his love the best. Family was a huge part of his life. All of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren loved to visit him. He had a special way of making everyone smile, and he loved his family with all of his heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan DeLeon, and Adrian (DeLeon) Vigil.
He is survived by his wife, Eustolia of Powell; daughters and sons-in-law, Silvia (Victor) Cruz of Powell, Estela (Brett) McCoy of Clark, Cristina DeLeon of Powell, Sofia DeLeon of Powell, Monica DeLeon of Casper, and Analisa (Ben) Hine of Powell; brother Jose Angel DeLeon of Powell, sister-in-law Mary DeLeon of Idaho; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jaunita (Alejandro) Garcia of Texas, Cande Espinoza of Michigan, and Diana (Santiago) Velasquez of Texas; 20 grandchildren; and 23 great-granchildren.
Services were held Monday, Aug. 30 at St. Barbara's Catholic Church in Powell with Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery.
