Joy Nelson Partridge

Joy Nelson Partridge, of Powell, passed away Nov. 14, 2024. She was born Sept. 9, 1947 in Moultonboro, New Hampshire to Ralph and Mae Whitehouse Nelson. 

Joy acquired a bachelor’s degree in education and spent her career as an elementary speech and language teacher. 

She married Larry Partridge on Dec. 23, 1972 in Moultonboro and the couple lived in New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Idaho and Wyoming. Joy attended Faith Community Church and enjoyed hiking, her husband, dogs, crosswords, reading and camping. She especially loved tagging along with her husband on his hunting trips to Africa and New Zealand. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and son Jacob.  She is survived by her husband and brother Jeff Nelson. 

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 21, 2024 at Faith Community Church, 1267 Road 18, Powell, WY 82435, officiated by Pastor Dave Serat. 

In lieu of flowers, people are asked to donate to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
