Judy Ann Sharples

Judy Ann (Forell) Sharples, 67 of Powell, WY.  Passed away on July 7th, 2018

from breast cancer complications. She was in the Billings Montana Hospital.  Judy was surrounded

by her loving family.

She was born January 3rd, 1951 in Chamberlain South Dakota, to Ora (OK) and

Alta (Hloucha) Forell. She was the second of four children. Judy along with

her siblings grew up on the family farm north of Oacoma, SD.  She was in 4-H

where she learned many lifelong skills & she attended the Prairie Star

country school.  She enjoyed riding horses & playing with her many cousins & family

on the farm.   Upon graduating from Chamberlain High School in 1969, she went into the

military.  She then returned back to Chamberlain, SD and decided to continue

her education in a nursing degree program.  Her parents took her to Alliance, NE.;

where Judy graduated from nursing school on March 14th, 1971.  She then

perused a nursing job in Worland, WY.  Judy along with her daughter Denise

lived in Worland for many years before her two other daughters joined their

family; Veronica & Jennifer.  Judy loved being a nurse and taking care of

people.  Her heart was always open to everyone whom she came into contact

with.  Some of Judy’s passions were baking, sewing, reading & her love that

was infectious to all.  Judy loved children & adored her grandchildren,

great grandchild and soon to be grandson. We will always remember Judy’s

smile & her twinkling eyes; as they could light up any room.  

She is survived by her daughter's Denise (Shane) Crawford of Usk WA,

Veronica Sharples of Powell WY, and Jennifer Sharples of Oldtown ID. Four

grandchildren Kenneth, Timothy & Jeremy Crawford, Kole Sharples & great

grandchild Bentley Crawford.  

Her siblings Dan (Ruth) Forell of Vancouver, WA, Joyce Pingrey of Lennox, SD, Chuck & (Dawnita) Forell of Pierre, SD.

Judy had many nieces & nephews; Dustin, Jason, Julie, Charles, Tyson & Ryan,

& a great niece Sara.   She is also survived by her aunts Darlene (Forell)

Iosty & Ruth Hloucha.

Preceded in death by her parents; Ora & Alta Forell, her uncles Wallace, Lars &

Raymond Hloucha, her  aunts Fern, Ellestine (Teeny), Carol, Melba, Ardyth

Darlene,& brother in law Rick Pingrey.

Judy will always be carried in our hearts; but her final resting place will

be in Oacoma, SD alongside of her parents.
