Leopoldo “Leo” Flores
October 22, 1936- October 23, 2021
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dad, Leopoldo “Leo” Flores.He passed peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones.
Leo came to this area in the late 1940’s working the fields from a young age with his parents Hesmerejildo and Gregoria Flores from Mission TX. Second to the oldest of 13 children. Leo married Esperanza Carrizales in late September of 1961, and stayed in this area for the rest of his time on earth. He is survived by his children, Dan (Elaine) Flores, John (Andrea) Flores, Mike Flores, Pati (Don) Blakesley, Stephanie Flores, Jordan (Chelsea) English, sister in-law Brenda Flores, brother Armando (Tabita) Flores, brother Arnaldo (Angela) FLores, sister Alicia Sanchez, brother Hesmerejildo (Arcelia) Flores, sister Maria (Rogelio) Fonseca, sister Evangelina (Jesus) Martinez, sister Celedina (Dave) Tollison, sister Noemi (Juan) Cardenas, and sister Alma Flores, and 27 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren all who loved him very much.
Leo was preceded in death by his wife Esperanza Flores, son Rick Flores, granddaughter Trista White, father Hesmerejildo Flores and mother Gregoria Flores, sister Aurora Flores, sister Criselda Sanchez, brother in-law Guadalupe Sanchez, brother Arturo Flores, sister Juana Flores, brother in-law Uvaldo Sanchez.
Leo was a hardworking man all his life right up till the end you could find him out in the yard raking and pushing his hand mower. He loved having his grandchildren around him and always tried to show them to take pride in everything they do. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Soar with the Angels now dad and watch over us always.
