Melinda Marie Romero

Melinda Marie Romero, or Mele as most of her loved ones knew her as, gained her wings on April 20, 2022.

Melinda was born on October 4, 1978 in Powell, Wyoming to her parents John and Ramona Romero. She spent most of her early life in the Powell, Wyoming area and then moved to the Mission, Texas area where she spent the last 13 years. 

 

Melinda enjoyed cooking for everyone and always wanted to make your favorite dish. She loved her family dearly and could always make you laugh.  She was the light in the room with her big smile and loving laugh. Her greatest accomplishment was her children, she loved them profoundly. 

 

Melinda is proceeded in death by her parents, John and Ramona Romero and sister, Lena Alvarado. 

She is survived by her children - Derik (Haley), Ernesto, Luis, Saraellie and Marcy, siblings - Juanito, Frances, Felipe, and Monica (Joel), along with many nieces and nephews. 

 

Funeral services will be held in Powell, Wyoming at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church - Rosary at 6:30pm, Thursday April 28, 2022 and Mass at 11:30am, Friday April 29, 2022 with burial immediately to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations to help with funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated.
