Nicolas Gillett, of Powell, Wyoming died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 in Jackson Hole Wyoming from a rodeo accident.
Born in Cody, Wyoming, April 30th, 1990, to Jeri Gillett, Nicolas was a Cody High School graduate, Powell High School/middle school attendant. He was a cowboy through and through. He loved what he did and died doing what he loved.
He loved his mother and cherished their time together. He was an avid rodeo competitor and as he would say “Living the Dream!” His loves were his mother Jeri, brother Andy, sister Ashley, dog Kylie, rodeo, friends, the outdoors, pick-up trucks, and of course his Cadillac.
If we all learned something through Nicolas it was that he loved life and always said “work is overrated”. He will forever be missed and loved by all.
Nicolas is survived by his mother, Jeri, his sister Ashley and his brother Andy, his Grandparents Don & Billie Gillett, Uncles David Gillett, Gary Gillett and Donnie Gillett, Aunts Debbie Wambeke, Carol McLeran and Judy Bullinger and numerous cousins.
The memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Monday June 28th, 2010 at The Cody Stampede Rodeo Grounds. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Nicolas Gillett Memorial fund at Bank of the West.
