Phyllis May Partridge passed away on Tuesday, May 14th, 2013 in Cody, Wyoming. Phyllis was born March 30th, 1923 in Lovell, Wyoming to Oliver Cromwell May and Loretta Grace Porter. She was the fourth (with her twin Phern) of ten children. She and Jay Robertson Partridge were married in the Salt Lake City Temple on February 9th, 1945. They raised five wonderful children who grew up in a home filled with Gospel principles and Christlike love.
Phyllis's grandchildren were the light of her life and she helped them make cherished memories as they spent many summer days baking with her and playing in her beautiful yard. She loved nature and enjoyed every detail of God's creations. She found great joy in tending to her flower gardens and they were enjoyed by all who passed her home. Her children considered her their best friend - one who exemplified tenderness and unconditional love and taught them to do the same. People were drawn to her Christlike countenance and she brought joy and peace to all who knew her.
Phyllis was preceded in death by siblings Porter May, Virga May, Andrew May, Jerry May and Venus May. She is survived by her husband, Jay Robertson Partridge, and their children, Jaylene Nielson (husband Walter), Ronald Partridge (wife Annette), Gayle Sutton (husband William), Lynn Partridge and Jill Hansen (husband Steve), as well as 15 grand children and 27 great grand children. She is also survived by her twin sister Phern, and sisters Rosemarie, Priscilla and brother Jay.
