Richard (Dick) Merrill Walker
February 22, 1927 -December 5, 2015
Dick Walker, 88, passed away with many loving family members by his side at St. Vincent Hospital in Billings, Mt.
Dick was born Feb. 22, 1927 in Byron. He was the 5th child to Eldon Walker and Charlotte (Lottie) Walker. Dick served 2 years in the US Navy South Pacific during World War II.
Dick married Billie Louis Farmer 68 years ago, on Sept. 5, 1947
Survivors include his wife Billie Walker, 2 sisters, 5 children: Brent Walker (Nancy), Brenda Hopkin (Thayne), Merrill Walker (Gail), Mary Ann Keeler, Wendy Smith and blessed with 16 grand children, 33 great-grand children, 4 great-great grand children.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister and son Phillip Walker.
Dick Walker was a hard working man who started out in Husky Oil gas plant. Then became a long time local business owner of Wyoming Mobile Homes, also known by many families and children as the Heart Mountain bus driver for many years.
Dick loved providing for his family, always working 2 jobs or more, he loved his boats, fishing, hunting, retirement in Lake Havasu and happy hour playing cards. The greatest joy in his later years was the time spent with the new babies that came into the family.
Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 12 at 10 am at the 525 West 7th Street Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Powell.
In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations be made to Primary Children's Hospital 100 N. Mario Capecchi Dr., Salt Lake City, Utah, 84113.
