Ryan Patrick Burgess

The world has lost an avid Seahawks fan on April 3rd, 2025, when Ryan Patrick Burgess journeyed to eternal rest with his father, Rickey.

Ryan was born December 14, 1983, to Rickey Burgess and Dona Roemmich in Powell Wyoming. He joined his idol, Adam, with baby brother, Richard entering the picture a few years later to round out the family.

Ryan grew up in Powell, Wyoming and Oak Harbor and Standwood Washington. He completed his education at Powell High School. He would later live in various parts of Wyoming and with Adam and Lori briefly before returning to Powell with his mom as Huntington’s Disease started to take hold.

Despite a loss of independence Ryan never lost his ability to find joy in the little things. His sweet tooth was unmatched and his love for iced coffee left nothing to be desired. Ryan appreciated good music, doing things his own way and giving people a hard time in good fun. He would never forfeit his liking for cute blondes with lots of tattoos or nicotine. He kept his sense of style and dressed to impress until the very end.

Ryan expressed two wishes consistently, to work oil fields with Adam and to love his cat Charlie beyond measure. To date, she may be the only animal snuck into All About Family and allowed to stay.

With the progression of the disease Ryan found support and care at Big Horn Enterprises in Powell, Northern Inc and Tanya Knell in Lander and finally All About Family and Jennifer Sater in Casper.

Ryan is survived by his cat Charlie, mom, Dona Burbank, brother Adam (Lori) Burgess, brother, Richard Burbank, Grandmother Sharon “Nonie” Rice, Uncles Michael, J.D. (Terri), John “Whiz” Roemmich, and Aunt Karen Lesher, 2 nephews, 1 niece and several cousins.

Ryan’s family intends to hold a celebration of life at a later date.
