Shannah Ruth Nelson

Shannah Ruth Nelson passed away on Friday, February 24th, 2023 as a result of a car accident.

 

 Shannah was born October 3rd, 2000 in Moose Lake, Minnesota to Larry and Brenda Nelson. She was a homeschool high school graduate and attended one year of college at Pine Technical and Community College.

 

 Shannah married John Daniel Nelson of Carthage, Illinois on July 25th, 2020 and they moved to Powell, Wyoming in December of that year. She was a devoted wife, talented with her horses, gifted cattlewoman, and enjoyed farming. Their son, Jesse Doran Nelson was born April 17th, 2021--her most treasured gift from God.

 

 She attended New Life Church in Powell. Shannah loved God and her family, was passionate about her horses--Washday, Jazz, Bebe, and her cattle. Every day she got to work with horses, cattle, and agriculture was another day of living her dream.

 

Shannah is survived by  her husband, John D Nelson and her son, Jesse Doran Nelson; her parents; Larry and Brenda Nelson, her brother, Shane; her sisters, Niki Burger (Jed), Ericka Nelson, Eliza Nelson, Sofia Heesaker, and Linnea Nelson.  She is also survived by her grandparents David and Wendy Nelson, uncles; Brian Nelson, Loren (Rebecca)Nelson and Myron (Maia) Nelson and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carl and Patsy Nelson.
