Family, friends, colleagues, and customers are all mourning the loss of the big man with the heart of gold. Skip Hart peacefully passed away on May 28, 2024 from health complications.
A natural problem solver, Skip enjoyed being a trained automotive and diesel mechanic. He was innovative with an eye to see the infinite possibilities. He was also a man of simple pleasures including driving tractor on a summer's day while listening to an audio book, sitting around a camp fire watching the dancing flames, admiring rows of freshly baled Alfalfa, and chewin' the fat with friends and neighbors.
If you ask about Skip you'll be told about his quick wit, dedication to the Hart Family Farm, and desire to help anyone at any time, which he did. Skip was a community resource devoting his life to service through his business of helping to keep Wyoming and Montana moving one mile or acre at a time, and leading the charge to stabilize and expand power capacity for the Willwood Light & Power Company. He was someone who never wanted the credit, but was always willing to carry the load.
Skip is preceded in death by his mother, Debra Hart, maternal and paternal grandparents, and his cousin Kacie Wilson. He is survived by his loving wife, Emily Hart, father and stepmother Frank (Sharon) Hart, brothers Orion Hart and Ron Hart, nephew Karsten Hart, uncles and aunts: Larry (Judi) Hart, Jerry Hart, Linda (Mike) McClaflin, Gale (Bob) Davis, Karen (Larry) Johnson, treasured in-laws, Rich and Kathi Cloud, brother in-law Benjamin Cloud and many incredible cousins and friends. He also leaves behind a beautiful chosen family whom he loved dearly.
Cremation has taken place and per his request there will not be services. We can all celebrate his life by picking each other up, showing compassion, and finding joy in the simple things.
