Timothy VanGrinsven (1973–2025). It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Timothy Alan VanGrinsven, best known as Timmy, who left us far too soon at the age of 51 due to health complications. Born on October 22, 1973 to Tim and Alana VanGrinsven, Timmy was a proud graduate of Powell High School class of 1992, and then attended Northwest Community College. He was an incredibly talented artist with a passion for creating and expressing himself though his work, his love for art and classic cars was only matched by his devotion to the Pittsburgh Steeles, a team he cheered for his entire life. A gifted musician, Timmy found joy in playing along to his extensive collection of vinyl records, immersing himself in the music he loved. Concerts were a special part of his life and he rarely passed up the opportunity to experience live music. Timmy enjoyed spending time with his grandparents growing up as well as all of his extended family members and friends. He especially enjoyed entertaining his little cousins, and he never passed up an opportunity to take them for a spin.
Timmy is survived by his father Tim, brothers Caleb and Seth as well as several beloved uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family, and friends. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was always willing to help anyone, and was so appreciative of the dear people who helped him throughout his life. A dual celebration of his life, as well as his mother Alana, will be held at Northwest College Yellowstone building May 1st, 2025, at 10:00am.
