Tomaz C. Munoz, 94, died Tuesday, Oct. 9 at Powell Valley Hospital.
Tomaz was born in Devine, Texas on Oct. 10, 1917 to Felix and Francisca (Cantu) Munoz.
He was Catholic, served in the Navy, and was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion. Tomaz was an avid hunter and worked in the Civilian Conservation Corps camps.
He was married to Juanita Patino.
Tomaz is survived by his brother Jesus; sister Santiaga; sons Thomas P. Munoz, Ramiro P. Munoz, Rudy P. Munoz, Roland P. Munoz; daughters Toni Garcia, Francis Munoz, Mary Ellen Faunce, Rosalinda Alaniz; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Tomaz was preceded in death by his father Felix; mother Francisca; brothers Frank, Veo, Saragosa; spouse Juanita; sons Jose Garcia, Pablo Patino Munoz; grandchildren Max Jr. Garcia, Lisa Munoz and Aaron Munoz.
Funeral Mass services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 12 at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church, 115 E. 3rd St. Rosary services will be held Thursday Oct. 11 at 6 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home. Viewing will be one hour prior to church services. Burial will be in the Crown Hill Cemetery.
